Warner Robinson is very pleased to announce the arrival of Marcus Weaver, SCSP to the WR team as our new Managing Director. Marcus oversees our Cost Segregation operations nationally and is also subject matter expert on our 263(a) Repairs vs. Capitalization services. He has over 12 years experience in the area of Cost Segregation and more than 18 years experience in the commercial construction industry.
Marcus’s extensive career in the construction industry included working for three Engineering News record’s (ENR’s) Top general contracting firms. He worked in the capacity of Project Engineer and Senior Project Manager and successfully completed projects with Universal Studios Florida, Warren Theatres, Pratt Regional Medical Center and The Kansas Heart Hospital as well as many other healthcare, multifamily, and commercial facilities.
Marcus has spent the last 12 years focusing on analyzing commercial real estate projects spanning the entire US, including hospitals, hotels, multifamily and apartment projects, retail centers, auto dealerships, golf courses, restaurants, manufacturing & industrial facilities, and office buildings. In addition to securing millions in accelerated deductions for his clients, Marcus has provided additional real estate and tax consulting services such as retirement and fixed asset studies, Repair vs. Capitalization Studies, bonus depreciation consulting, Green Building tax incentives and Research & Development Tax studies.
Prior to joining Warner Robinson, Marcus was responsible for developing and overseeing the Central US Cost Segregation offices in Kansas and Texas for KBKG. Marcus is a Senior Member of the American Society of Cost Segregation Professionals (ASCSP) and currently holds the title of Treasurer. He also serves on the Executive Committee and is the liaison to the Education Committee for the national organization. Marcus has been invited to speak to a number of prominent industry associations across the country including the Kansas Society of CPAs, Oklahoma Society of CPAs, Ohio Society of CPAs and many more.
